Applications are now open for the 31st International Summer University, taking place June 21–26, 2026 in Kőszeg, Hungary. This year’s theme, Europe’s Choice: Power, Politics, and Partnerships, addresses some of the most pressing questions in contemporary European affairs.
The programme is co-organised by Ludovika University of Public Service, the Institute of Social and European Studies (ISES) Foundation, and the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Heritage and Sustainability, and will bring together students and young researchers from across Europe and beyond for six days of intensive academic exchange.
Europe is navigating a period of profound uncertainty. Longstanding arrangements for security and governance are under pressure, democratic institutions are being tested, and the continent’s political future remains genuinely open. This summer university examines the intersections of democracy and security in contemporary Europe, and the institutional and sociopolitical choices that will shape the future.
The program is still under development. You can find more information here: https://iask.hu/en/events/31st-international-summer-university/
